The University of Iowa recognizes the value in partnering to achieve a common goal and works to foster fruitful collaborations among individuals, teams, disciplines, and institutions. Such partnerships may be formed in response to solicitations seeking multidisciplinary teams, while others are inspired by creative individuals who share a common vision. This section includes resources for identifying potential partners – faculty with interests and expertise in specific areas – and links to institutional resources to facilitate such partnerships.
The University of Iowa has partnered with KNODE Inc. to help connect researchers at Iowa and elsewhere and to provide direct links to scientific content. KNODE is a Cloud-based tool which provides a comprehensive view of a researcher’s expertise and focuses on researchers in the life sciences. Researcher profiles are generated from a variety of data sources, including MEDLINE/PubMed journal articles, NIH grant projects, biomedicine patents, and ClinicalTrials.gov. KNODE automatically generates and continuously updates expert profiles, eliminating the requirement for manual editing. If you wish, you can also claim your automatically generated profile to update certain information. Please note that KNODE is not intended as an electronic CV, but rather a platform for research networking and profiling.
