• Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) - A collection of the general and permanent rules of the executive departments and agencies of the federal government.
  • Export Controls - federal laws restricting the export of goods, technology, related technical data, and certain services in the interest of protecting the national security and domestic economy.
  • Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) - uniform federal policies to guide executive federal agencies in the acquisition of supplies and services.
  • Federal Demonstration Partnership - A cooperative initiative among 9 federal agencies and 120 institutional recipients of federal funds. Its purpose is to reduce the administrative burdens associated with research grants and contracts.
  • Federal Register - A daily listing of federal agency announcements, including grant opportunities, proposed federal regulations, and other important information. 
  • NIH Public Access Policy -- Requirement to ensure NIH-funded research results are made publicly available.
  • Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Circulars - OMB circulars A-21, A-110, and A-133 are no longer in effect.  They were replaced by the Uniform Guidance on December 26, 2014.
  • Uniform Guidance -- Grant and contract policies and procedures used by the federal government to interact with organizations (such as the University of Iowa) that receive federal funds.  (The Uniform Guidance replaced OMB circulars A-21, A-110, and A-133 on December 26, 2014.)
  • United States Code (USC) - a consolidation and codification of the general and permanent laws of the United States.
