Not seeing the latest version of a file (PDF, DOC, XML etc.) downloaded from this web site?

If you are not seeing the latest version of a file (PDF, DOC, DOCX, XML, etc.) from this web site when you click on the URL, your web browser settings are probably not set up correctly.  Instead of opening the latest version offered by the web site, your browser is opening an older "local" copy of the file (from "cache"), previously downloaded to your hard drive.  To fix this, so that you can always see the latest version of the file when you click the URL, make the following changes to your web browser's internet settings:

  1. Open Microsoft Internet Explorer (MIE) browser (version 8.x)
  2. Click (from the web browser menu at the top of the page):
  •  Tools
  •  Internet Options
  •  Under "Browsing History" click the Delete button
  •  UNCHECK the box next to "Preserve Favorites website data" - at the top of the page
  •  CHECK the box next to"Temporary Internet files" - second from the top of the page
  1. Click the Delete button at the bottom of the "Delete Browsing History" page
  2. Click the OK button at the bottom of the "Internet Options" page
  3. Click the URL again for the file (PDF, DOC, DOCX, XLS, etc.) that you wanted to open.  You should now see the latest version of the file, directly from the web site, rather than an older, local file from "cache."
