NIH Transitions from FORMS-B2 to FORMS-C

Does Cayuse 424 support FORMS-C?
Yes we do! When you retrieve an opportunity, both the FORMS-B2 and FORMS-C versions will be downloaded into Cayuse 424. If the opportunity has already been downloaded previously, then the additional FORMS-C version will automatically appear during the nightly opportunity sync with Grants.gov.

How do I know which form set to choose?
The form version will be displayed in the Competition ID field.
From the NIH’s FAQ page:
Applications to FOAs with due dates on/after September 25, 2013 must use updated forms (FORMS-C), except:
• Career Development, Fellowship, and Training  FOAs will transition to updated forms for deadlines on/after January 25, 2014
• Small Business FOAs will NOT transition to updated forms until Small Business Reauthorization form changes are also available – timing TBD

What should I do if the application is due on/after September 25, 2013  but I have already started my application using the old forms?
If this happens, you must transform your existing proposal to the FORMS-C package. Instructions for transforming your proposal can be found here on our support site. Do NOT attempt to submit the application using the old forms or it will be rejected by Grants.gov.   Changes in the form set may cause some fields and attachments to not be copied to FORMS-C. Please CHECK your proposal after transforming to make sure everything is included and filled out completely.

What should I do if my application is due prior to September 25, but I completed it using FORMS-C by accident?
Same as above. If this happens, you must transform your existing proposal to the FORMS-B2 package. Instructions for transforming your proposal can be found here on our support site. Do NOT attempt to submit the application using the new forms or it will be rejected by Grants.gov. Please CHECK your proposal after transforming to make sure everything is included and filled out completely.

I am trying to start a proposal that is due prior to September 25, but I can only find a FORMS-C package! What now?
This is unusual, but we have seen one example of it already. The opportunity package was created using the wrong form set. If this happens, contact the granting agency immediately for guidance. Do NOT attempt to submit the application using the new forms or it will be rejected by Grants.gov.
