Recipients of Kirschstein-NRSA institutional training grant and individual fellowship awards supporting currently active postdoctoral trainees or fellows with 0, 1, or 2 years of experience as of December 1, 2016, will received increased stipends.
This increase is distinct from a projected cost-of-living adjustment for postdoctoral stipends that is subject to the availability of FY 2017 appropriations.
For full details about this adjustment, including budgetary examples, please see the online NIH notice.
Helpful hint! Please note that NIH offers a streamlined system through the eRA Commons for submitting administrative supplements. DSP has received feedback from campus that this is the least burdensome system to use for supplement applications. See instructions in Section IV of PA-16-287 here: https://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/pa-files/PA-16-287.html#_Section_IV....
Administrative Supplement applications also require a completed UI Routing Form. DSP provides a NRSA budget template that may be accessed here:https://dsp.research.uiowa.edu/budget-templates-0
